A Rally For Peltier
In 1976, Leonard Peltier went behind bars for the murder of two federal agents. Forty years later, his advocates have not forgotten him. Supporters gathered on February 6 to mark and protest the 40th anniversary of his incarceration in the federal prison system. The “International Day of Solidarity” was commemorated with prayer, discussion, music, dancing and drumming. The common theme: “Forty years is enough.” By Frances Madeson
