Why aren’t they talking about Full Spectrum bulbs? I’ve been using them for over 15 years. Yeah, they cost about $6-8 per bulb, but each bulb lasts me about SIX TO EIGHT YEARS, so I’d say the up front cost is worth it! And no headaches, as they represent the FULL SPECTRUM of natural light. Fluorescent bulbs, no matter how energy conserving, are still fluorescent and no good for our eyes – they are too strong and I refuse to buy them. Full spectrum bulbs were invented in Finland, to deal with the long, dark winters and lack of sunshine (dubbed Seasonal Affective Disorder). I think they’re the best choice all around. Just wish the bulbs came in a wider variety of sizes and shapes.
